You must be logged into your site, and you must have admin rights. Once you are logged in, MOST pages will have an "Edit" tab under the page title. Click on the edit tab and you can edit the page. Some other types of pages are different - Views pages (like lists of links or products) are configured in a different way. If you have trouble editing a specific page, feel free to ask. Otherwise, you should be able to edit most pages.
