List of Menus and Menu Items

  • Menus

  • Review the three main menu groups

    • Navigation – the signed-in user’s menu of choices

    • Primary – the menu now visible at the top of the page including Home, About Us, etc.

    • Secondary – additional links that may or may not be necessary

  • Start by clicking ‘Primary links’

    • Read the description and rearrange the order of the Primary links menu items as desired.

    • Enable’ the menu items you want to see and disable or delete the ones you don’t.


Add Menu Items

  • To add additional menu items to the Primary links menu, click the ‘Add item’ tab at the top of the page

    • Path: Open the website in a separate tab or window and go to URL Aliases. There you will view a list of internal Drupal ‘Paths.’ Find the most pertinent ‘Alias’ name and then look under the heading ‘System.’ Type the name under ‘System’ in the ‘Path’ box on the ‘Add item’ page. For example, if you want to add a blog page your path name might be node/6

    • Give the menu item a title and description, if desired and enable it.


Edit Menu

  • Change the ‘Title’ and ‘Description’ of the Primary Links menu, if desired.


Add an Entire Menu

  • Menus

  • To add another menu, an Admin menu to create content, for example, click the tab 'Add Menu' and give the menu a path, title, and description.

  • The menu will not show up alongside the other menus. Click on the new menu and follow the steps above to complete the menu.
