Theme Configuration

• Themes

• Browse the list of themes and check the ‘Enabled’ box next to the theme(s) of your choice.

• If you are setting up the site for a client you may want to enable a number of themes for them to choose from.

• Check the ‘Default’ button next to the theme you’d like to display now.

• Click ‘Save configuration’ on the bottom of the page to view the new theme displayed on the website.

• To further customize the a theme, go back to your default theme and click on the link labeled ‘Configure’ under the ‘Operations’ heading.

Page Elements

Choose to enable or disable the page elements below. While different themes offer different page elements, some of the common elements include:

• Logo – upload an image or logo

• Site Name

• Site Slogan

• Mission Statement

• Search Box – allows users to search the site

• Shortcut Icon – also called the favicon, a picture that appears next the the URL in the browser bar

• Primary links – main menu

• Secondary links – secondary menu

If at any time you wish to see the changes you have made, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Save configuration’ button.

Logo Image and Shortcut Icon Settings

• Toggle open the ‘Logo image settings’ and the ‘Shortcut icon settings.’

• Upload images for your logo and shortcut icon (the path will appear in the ‘Path to Custom Logo’ box once you have uploaded the image and clicked the ‘Save configuration’ button at the bottom of the page).

• If you upload an image, but wish to replace it with another image, you must clear the cache. To do this,

  • Upload the new image under ‘Logo image settings,’

  • Click the ‘Save configuration’ button at the bottom of the page,

  • Right-click on the old image at the top of the website in the logo block,

  • Select ‘view image,’

  • Refresh your browser, and

  • Click your browser’s back button.

  • You should now see the new logo image in the logo block at the top of the website.

Theme Specific Settings

These vary by theme, but some common settings include

• Style/Color Scheme

• Site Width

• Location of Sidebar(s)

• Width of Sidebar(s)

• Site Font

If the theme has options for IE6, check those boxes

Click ‘Save Configuration to save your changes to the theme.
